The course of civilization has taken a turn in recent months. The prices of natural gas, gasoline and crude oil have all increased dramatically. Just a few years ago people were predicting the horrifying idea of oil reaching $100 a barrel. Now it has surpassed that mark by nearly $20 dollars and we are simply predicting the next horrible price mark. In addition to the rise in prices of petroleum products, the taxes on these items have gone up as well. Japan, Indonesia and the United Kingdom have all implemented new taxes that raise the already high price of fuel. These events have caused many changes throughout the world. This blog will hopefully be a place where many can at least get a little information about these changes and the larger implications of the oil crisis.
